INGREDIENTS: ENRICHED LONG GRAIN PARBOILED RICE (FERRIC PHOSPHATE, NIACIN, THIAMIN MONONITRATE, FOLIC ACID), RED BEANS, ENRICHED UNBLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, ASCORBIC ACID, NIACIN, IRON, THIAMIN MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), SALT, DRIED VEGETABLES (ONION, GARLIC, GREEN AND RED BELL PEPPER), VEGETABLE PROTEIN (HYDROLYZED CORN PROTEIN, WHEAT, SALT, SOY), SPICES (INCLUDING RED PEPPER POWDER), SOY SAUCE POWDER ((WHEAT, SOYBEANS, SALT],* MALTODEXTRIN), CORNSTARCH, CARAMEL (COLOR), YEAST EXTRACT, CANOLA OIL, HICKORY SMOKE FLAVOR. STOVETOP: In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 3 cups water and 2 Tbsp butter, margarine or olive oil (optional), heat to boiling. Add Red Beans & Rice Max and return to a boil Reduce heat, stir, cover and simmer about 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is lender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking Allow mixture to stand about 5 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.

 

MICROWAVE: In a 2½2 quart microwaveable bowl or casserole dish, combine 3 cups hot water, 2 Ibsp butter, margarine, or olive oil (optional), and Red Beans & Rice Mix. Cover and cook on HIGH for about 5 minutes. Stir, reduce power to 50% and cook tor about 18 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let stand in microwave for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Caution: bowl will be hot. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate. Refrigerate leftovers.

I used to like this product very much, but now there are hardly any red beans in it. It's about 99% rice with just a few scattered beans. I will no longer purchase this product, because it just tastes like rice.
